Eaton’s Electrical Sector is currently seeking a Controller to join our team. This position is based at our Beaver, PA, facility.
The Controller Manages all aspects of the accounting and financial responsibility at the plant, including 2 remote Breaker Service Centers reporting to the Plant Manager and PCD Controller. Directs the monthly rolling forecast. Analyzes financial performance data and works with the Plant Manager on continuous improvement programs with in the Finance Department as well as the Facility. Recommends actions pertinent to measured performance. Directs the development of the plant strategic plan and profit plan. Oversees the preparation of budgets and forecasts. Monitors cost reduction opportunities for the plant. Analyzes financial viability of plant capital expenditure programs. Reviews monthly plant performance metrics. Coordinates the financial and systems integration of Beaver into CPD organizations. Ensures adherence to standard accounting principles and practices as well as compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Oversees the execution of the Cost Accounting System in the Facility. Manage a staff of up to 4 employees in Accounting.

Analyze the long and short-term capital and operating requirements for the business in view of projected market, business and economic trends.
Prepare an annual financial plan that will provide a proper investment return as set by plant and division management.
Monitor current financial position and note any deviations from financial plan and recommend appropriate corrective action to plant manager.
Review/evaluate proposed investments in major fixed assets and assist in the financial arrangements for acquisitions, if required. Supervise all necessary accounting entries for capital expenditures and retirements.
Understand the operations and financial drivers of the business to advise and guide the Beaver Leadership Team to determine the best course of action to achieve the financial goals of the business.
Manage the cost accounting function. Assure that standard costs are correctly stated, and inventories are properly valued.
Manage the Accounts Payable function, processing over 500 invoices per month.
Manage the Sarbanes-Oxley compliance of the facility.
Manage plant record storage and retention.
Manage the accounting ledgers.
Issue meaningful and accurate monthly financial statements.
Assure that all balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly.
Manage and monitor customer receivables.
Manages Accounting Manager and FLDP.

Minimum two (2) years managing accounting/finance department in manufacturing
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
Minimum one (1) year experience managing salaried employees
Minimum one (1) year experience supporting/managing a P&L
Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution
Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in a role responsible for Accounting/Finance in a manufacturing setting
- Experience working in a union site
Have complete command of Excel spreadsheets with ability to create and manage complex multi-worksheet spreadsheets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skill
- Demonstrate analytical skills
- Understanding of Accounting and Finance
Strong attention to detail is required to be successful in this position
- Ability to work as a member of a cross-departmental team
