Ensure the continued profitable operation of a Satellite plant through the use of effective manufacturing processes, marketing, and development of direct reports.
Act as a territory manager and drive the responsibility for the profitable growth of the respective assemblies within the assigned regional territory.
Establish and refine manufacturing processes to accomplish the specific volume, productivity improvements, and profit goals set forth by the Business Unit Manager and the product line (EBS, MESH, 5S, Lean, NEMA, etc.).
Negotiate the purchase and shipment of needed materials from outside vendors.
Work with the Production Manager to review and approve all invoices from these vendors.
Maintain effective communication channels with Satellite Management Staff, Field Sales Management and Team Members, Distributors, Contractors, and internal suppliers to insure the correct application and on time shipment of products.
Develop and maintain an understanding of applicable codes, regulations, and standards relating to the application of all plant products (NEMA, NEC, UL, etc.).
Review and resolve all warranty issues and claims in a manner that is consistent with standard company policies and is in the best interest of ourselves and our customers.
Requires 15% domestic travel.
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Aerospace/Aeronautical, Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial or Process Engineering, Manufacturing, or a directly related field plus two (2) years of experience in a management or supervisory role. Experience must include:
One (1) of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
Providing managerial direction, support and guidance to an employee group in sales manufacturing or marketing;
Working in a manufacturing environment with products, clients, and employees;
Supporting a group of internal or external clients with respect to their needs in an outward facing customer service role or internally facing functional role; and
Serving as technical resource for product manufacture, sales, or service.
