We are looking for a Senior Pre-Sales Electrical Engineer in Eaton’s electrical business, based in Sydney, Australia. This exciting role offers the opportunity to:

  • Work closely with the sales organization as the technical specialist in critical power solutions

  • Establish client requirements and engineer solutions to meet these requirements

  • Work closely with consulting engineers on specifications and solutions

  • Leverage technical qualification and years of experience to also enable both internal and external stakeholders through trainings and support

  • Responsible to keep updated with technical advancements and trends influencing the critical power industry and markets

Your essential responsibilities:
  • Prepare written proposals for submission to the customer. Driven for detail and accuracy with numbers are also primary

  • Work with the sales team, end-users and consultants to understand the customer’s needs

  • Develop solutions aligning Eaton’s product set with customer’s requirement

  • Build relationships with consultants, key customers and the sales team. Use initiative and possess a positive attitude towards teamwork is critical

  • Create mechanical and electrical drawings to support project submission

  • Deliver presentations on Eaton's solutions to external and internal stakeholders

  • Provide input for new product development and champion innovation initiatives


If you have:
  • Diploma or Certificate 4 in Electrical Engineering
  • 6 years of Electrical Engineering Experience required

  • With experience in Telecommunications and Data Center segment

  • Technical experience with knowledge of critical power products and systems

  • Computer Literacy is essential, particularly with M/S Outlook, Word and Excel

  • A good working knowledge of Australian electrical standards and industry practices
