Eaton is currently seeking a Senior Tax Analyst – International Tax to join our team. This position is based at either our Beachwood, Ohio or Houston, TX offices.


Position Overview:

The Senior Tax Analyst for International Tax Strategy position is a dynamic position that supports the International Tax Strategy group with various tax planning, strategy and compliance projects that directly impact shareholder value.


The position is responsible for deriving significant incremental shareholder value through highly complex tax analysis and planning while ensuring tax compliance in the ever-increasing complex legislative environment, for both US and international applications.

In this function you will:

  • Performs tax research on a variety of issues, including, international tax provisions of the US Internal Revenue Code, US rules related to corporations and partnerships, tax treaties, and US inbound/outbound taxation
  • Assists with various international tax projects including: cross-functional Legal Entity Simplification projects, internal legal structure reorganizations, efficient cash management, and non-US host country tax planning
  • Assists in the international tax compliance and provision process including preparation of US international tax forms (e.g., Forms 5471, 5472, 8858, etc.), earnings & profits and tax pool calculation/maintenance, statement/election preparation, and IRS audit support
  • Provides support for modeling and quantitative analysis

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance from an accredited institution
  • Minimum two (2) years of public accounting and/or multinational corporate tax experience specializing in international tax
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Beachwood, OH or Houston, TX will be considered.  Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance from an accredited institution
  • CPA or MTAX
  • Thorough knowledge of Federal and International income tax law (e.g. Subchapter C, Subchapter K, international tax provision, tax treaties, transfer pricing, etc.)
  • Fundamental understanding and knowledge of income tax accounting
  • Solid computer skills including Microsoft applications, financial accounting systems, and tax compliance programs
  • Experience with CorpTax tax preparation software, Oracle and/or SAP

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to support the preparation of tax returns and financial reports

  • High level demonstration of problem-solving skills
  • Business operational knowledge and understanding
