Electronics Technician - Off Shift

Job Description

Eaton’s Electrical sector is currently seeking Electronics Technicians to join our team. This position will be off shift and is based at our Lincoln, IL facility. Relocation assistance will be provided.

In this function you will:  
  • Plan, layout, install and maintain, program and troubleshoot electrical and electronic controls and equipment, including PLCs and motion control devices

  • Work from complicated drawings, specifications or wiring diagrams and have hands-on knowledge of electricity and electronics

  • Work without drawings and create such drawings when necessary for project work

  • Keep current with developments in their respective field

  • Direct the work of helpers, instruct plant emergency squad members and operate a power truck

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a maintenance electrician in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience with PLCs
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

Preferred qualifications:
  • Completion of an apprenticeship program
  • Further education in the electronics field
