Eaton’s Electrical sector is currently seeking an Electrical Test Coordinator to join our team. This position is based at our Wilsonville, OR location.
Position Overview:
The primary function of an Electrical Test Coordinator is to perform electrical/mechanical test, troubleshoot and inspect Eaton power products such as Low Voltage Assemblies, Medium Voltage Assemblies, Medium Voltage Switches and/or Motor Control Centers in order to verify product functionality prior to shipment to the end user. The Electrical tester will perform these tasks according to the Eaton electrical test safety standards, customer specifications and factory acceptance procedures.
 
In addition to Electrical Tester duties, the Test Coordinator coordinates test team schedule, improves team productivity, serves as a liaison between various functions and departments, and develops as a leader. This person would serve as the site champion for Electrical Test Safety.

In this function you will:
  • Ensure Safe work operations of product line personnel and promote employee communication for safety suggestions
  • Prepare product and perform mechanical inspection, insulation tests & electrical sequence tests in accordance with Eaton electrical test safety standards, customer specifications, quality requirements and assembly drawings/schematics
  • Troubleshoot various problems that occur during test to determine root causes and report findings to the supervisor, engineering, production, supply chain, etc.; follow the non-conformance reporting process
  • Lead customer witness tests and inspections
  • Guide, oversee, and coordinate daily production/test schedule, test team resources and necessary metrics to meet customer requirements
  • Conduct required trainings and lead the development of training tools, procedures and documentation in conjunction with MESH/OpEx Department; promote cross-training
  • Site Lead (SRP) for Electrical Test Safety Policies
  • Work in conjunction with Engineering, Quality Control, etc., concerning test procedures, specifications and problems
  • Schedule maintenance on test equipment with OPEX group
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required
  • Minimum Three (3) years’ work experience in electronics and/or electrical field, or equivalent
  • Experience in Programmable Logic Controller, electrical protection and/or control relay programming
  • Able to read and interpret complex electrical schematics
  • Previous experience in troubleshooting complex electrical circuits
  • Must be legally authorized to work within the United States without company Sponsorship
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Wilsonville, OR will be considered.  Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  
Preferred qualifications:
  • Associates degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Five (5) years’ experience in a similar role
  • Two (2) years of leadership experience
  • Comfortable working with up to 480VAC
  • Understanding of Low Voltage Assemblies, Medium Voltage Assemblies, Motor Control Centers and/or Medium Voltage Switches
  • Participate in and demonstration of understanding of other programs, such as MESH, 5S, Eaton Safety Process (ESP), etc.
