Job Description

Eaton’s Vehicle division is currently seeking a Plant Manager to join our staff at US Engine Valve, Westminster, SC. Relocation benefits are provided for candidates willing to relocate. 

 

US Engine Valve (USEV) was started in 1987 as a joint venture between Eaton Corporation and Nittan Valve Co Ltd. Of Japan. Our vision is to be a world class, full-service supplier of intake and exhaust valves in terms of quality, cost, delivery, and innovation.

 
Position Overview:
 

This position manages all aspects of the Plant to meet or exceed the expectations of the customers and owners while achieving USEV’s goals and objectives.

 
In this function you will:
  •  Motivate and develop the USEV staff for job enrichment and promotional opportunities.  Empower all associates to produce the highest quality product.
  • Coordinate the plant’s strategic and profit planning procedures with both parent companies to maximize USEV’s contribution to profitability.
  • Promote and implement a philosophy of continuous improvement through total employee involvement to sustain our competitiveness in a global market.  Continually monitor, evaluate and approve these activities.
  • Balance plant staffing, production, and inventory levels to meet customer requirements and profit objectives.
  • Manage the relationship between the parent companies of the joint venture.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree is required from an accredited school with a Master’s degree preferred
  • Ten to fifteen years previous manufacturing experience, including experience in a staff manager capacity.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
Position Criteria:
  • Position requires technical knowledge in processing, manufacturing, engineering, facilities and maintenance, materials, human resources, accounting and quality.
  • Administration skills required in motivation, goal and objective achievement, monitoring, forecasting, capital project procedures, and budgeting.
  • Advanced knowledge of manufacturing operations and quality methods and how these operations relate to problems within area of responsibility.
  • Understanding of the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System requirements and the components of an acceptable business system.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations and reporting.
  • Maintain continuous improvement as it relates to safety, quality, inventory, throughput, and workforce involvement.
  • Keeping aware of daily business changes/trends and machine/engineering changes or trends to ensure that our processes remain competitive.
