Job Description

Eaton’s Electrical division is currently seeking an Engineering Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Zapopan Office.

The Engineering Manager is responsible for to manage the Engineering Design Team to optimally design Transformers ETO product lines. Must assure the creation of high quality custom designed products at a minimum cost while meeting and exceeding customer requirements and satisfaction.

Some activities related with the position will be:

  • Establish Engineering objectives in accordance to Division Objectives and develop countermeasure to achieve objectives success.

  • Define the roles for designers, product Engineers and Project Engineers to achieve department goals.

  • Review and define Engineering Specs and Standards to establish customer requirements, interact with Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, Operations, Manufacturing Marketing, Proposals, and the customer as required.

  • Improve the administrative and production processes.

  • Provide technical resources to other areas as needed.

  • Product Cost analysis
  • Define Design Automation needs in order to assure the availability of the tools needed for the process.

  • Effectively collaborates within engineering team and other cross functional teams.

  • Provide resources to Support A3, 4up, ProLaunch, VAVE and NPD projects.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of electric power distribution systems and standards,

  • manufacturing processes such as assembly, paint, metal fabrication/machining, spinning/ polishing and welding.

  • Good Business and financial knowledge.
