Lead Commercial Financial Analyst - Filtration

Eaton’s Hydraulic Filtration Division is currently seeking a Lead Commercial Financial Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our Eden Prairie, MN facility.

Position Overview:


This position will assist in the global reporting and analysis of monthly results, forecasts and profit plan for the Division.  This role also analyzes plant financial information, operational and financial data/metrics.

In this function you will:

  • Analyze regional and product sales performance against financial targets over both the short- and long-term horizons.
  • Support the monthly closing processes.  Ensure the integrity of the financial statements.
  • Support functional business partners by providing analysis to quote new business, cost modeling, preparation of financials in growth capital appropriation requests, etc.
  • Assist in the SIOP and global sales forecasting processes.  Calculate and report sales outgrowth performance against market indices.
  • Provide accurate margin and mix analyses in order for the business to make appropriate decisions to improve margins.  Manage customer and product line profitability via coordination with sales and management teams.
  • Prepare sales and orders reporting as required for monthly submissions, business reviews, and ad-hoc requests.
  • Coordinate the preparation of the profit plan sales with sales leaders, controllers, and staff, as well as other profit plan assignments.
  • Serve as Accounting Manager for assigned Division/US ledgers.
  • Automate sales common analytics through data warehouse tools, such as improved & standardized pricing analysis.
  • Work in a team environment to drive improvement in financial processes and reports through tools/systems, automation and standardization.
  • Responsible for the Physical Inventory and Standard Cost Roll for 3 US locations.
  • Monitors performance against sales incentive plans by region.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

 
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or finance from an accredited institution
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in accounting and/or finance
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
 
 

Preferred Qualifications:

 
  • MBA or master’s in finance or accounting
  • CPA or CMA accreditation

  • Candidate must possess strong written and presentation skills and must be able to effectively work in a cross-functional team environment.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel & PowerPoint).
  • Experience in working with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Trained in General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Eaton Financial Policies
