Position Overview:

The Eaton Lighting – Engineering Internship is designed to provide opportunities to a diverse mix of students who demonstrate the same high level of ethics, values, creativity and performance we expect from our employees. During the paid internship, students will work on projects that have a measurable impact on our business and will be coached and mentored by Eaton leaders.
 
The objective of the internship is to develop students through practical experiences, as well as assist in the personal development of leadership competencies through training, networking and coaching. The assignment will help the participant develop a wide range of leadership and functional competencies within the field of operations.

Eaton has announced it has reached an agreement to sell its Lighting Business to Signify N.V. This transaction is expected to be completed in the first Quarter of 2020 and this position is expected to remain with the Lighting Business and would transfer to Signify N.V. upon close.  The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton’s plans, programs and practices.  If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Lighting Business when the transaction closes, you will be eligible to participate in Signify N.V.’s compensation, health, welfare, and retirement benefit plans and programs and should have no expectations that Signify N.V’s plans and programs will mirror or be substantially similar to Eaton’s. 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements):
  • Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master's degree program in engineering
  • Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • No relo
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior internship or co-op experience
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or the community
