Demand Forecast Analyst

Job Description

Eaton’s Commercial Residential Distribution Solutions division is currently seeking a Demand Forecast Analyst to join our team.  This position is based at our Peachtree City, GA facility.

The primary function of this role is to drive our S&OP process and collaborate with cross functional teams in order to build our demand forecast to improve customer service levels and minimize inventory levels. In the role you will:

  • Recognize, follow, and analyze trends in the market. 
  • Research historical data to map trends and determine how they will influence the business. Work with sales and marketing teams to gather assumptions and data pertaining to forecast changes, trends and events.  
  • Assist Demand Manager in preparing and presenting reports detailing these market factors to leadership to help inform marketing and production strategy decisions. 
  • Routinely examine demand management methodologies to find ways of improving predictive accuracy.  
  • Investigate and reconcile disconnect between actual sales and forecast.  
  • Work with key accounts to develop dashboards and reporting in an effort to gather forecasting information. 
  • Gather and research industry related macro-economic data to adjust forecast and/or validate forecast adjustments.  
  • Administer, audit and trouble shoot forecasting software to ensure data integrity.  
  • Perform ad hoc analysis as needed, respond to forecast queries from various departments.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required
  • Three (3) years’ experience in demand forecasting
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Peachtree City, GA will be considered.  
Preferred qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain from an accredited university
  • Master’s degree in Business from an accredited university
  • Previous demand forecasting/supply chain experience in the wiring devices industry
  • Strong analytical, financial, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated success in driving results through others
Position Criteria:
  • Ability to analyze, identify, and implement opportunities and corporate initiatives for improvement that have measurable dollar impact annually
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • SIOP – Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning
  • Strong analytical, financial, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Power Point, Outlook).
  • Experience in driving aligned actions through groups that don’t directly report to them.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple time-sensitive tasks.
  • Must be detail-oriented and possess excellent prioritization skills. 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.  Must be able to effectively interact with all levels of staff.
  • Thorough understanding of the best practices in demand analysis, production, and inventory planning.
