Quality Engineer

Eaton’s Power System division is currently seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Querétaro facility.

In this role you will:
 
  • Develop, review, manage, approve, control and distribute the controlled documents of the quality management system (Q-pulse). And ensure that they are communicated to all departments.

  • Ensure that defects on the line are are mitigated through problem solving techniques such as 8D, A3,

  • Develop process control plans & review data collection methods & applicability of data to operator control

  • Participate in & lead structured team problem solving & apply statistical & other problem-solving tools.

  • Follow up in the preparation of customer required reporting.

  • Actively participate in manufacturing & process improvement teams as the voice of the customer.

  • Assist in identifying & coordinating quality related training programs for inspectors.

  • Monitor and report on quality-related key performance indicators including scrap monitoring, DPPM

  • Stop production in the event of manufacture of unacceptable goods/processes

  • Oversees all activities are met under ISO 9001 and  EQMS  requirements.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

 
  • Engineering degree or related to the area of preference

  • Internal Auditor ISO 9001: 2015
  • Knowledge on Q-Pulse, SAP, English (able to have a business conversation), Core Tools, Problem solving tools (8D). Strong Leadership profile, Organized, Teamwork, management priorities, Good communication.

  • Knowledgeable on problem solving methodologies and Quality Core Tools

  • Knowledge of Statistical Minitab software

  • Bilingual (english and Spanish)
