  • Perform detailed mechanical parts of high-power electronics, OBC, and other power management products;
  • Create simulation models to predict structural, fatigue, vibration, thermal, and flow performance of new products in development;
  • Conduct detailed analysis of tolerance stacks to ensure efficient assembly and reliable product performance;
  • Prepare for and participates in formal and informal design review activities;
  • Develop product test plans and work closely with technicians or outside lab resources to implement and review testing activities;
  • Interface with and provide technical support for customers, plant, quality, and supplier personnel;
  • Operate and design within vehicle standards (ISO TS16949, SAE, ISO vehicle related standards);
  • Learn and integrate Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T), Design for Six Sigma tools and approaches, engineering simulation & modeling software, and phase-gate development processes for new products in development;
  • Responsible for assisting the process development;
  • Responsible for sample manufacture and failure mode analysis;
  • Responsible for design release and assisting SQE with PPAP audit;
  • Customer projects pursuit supporting.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in new product development
  • Working experience in development of injection molded plastics, die casting and sheet metal parts preferred;
  • NEV high voltage controller related development skill;"
  • Good oral/writing English;
  • Good potential leadership;
  • Background in TS/ISO 16949 quality systems and SAE, ISO vehicle related standards preferred.
