As a Sales Engineer – Emergency Lighting and Central Battery, you will secure specifications and sales for Eaton emergency lighting and central battery products and services, working with consultants and end user clients in your defined territory. This role is part of the national specialist sales team which has been formed to deliver the exciting new sales strategy in the emergency lighting market.


You will work within our world class Sales Team in our Doncaster Site.

Your key deliverables:
  • Network within your target market to develop & maintain trusted, professional relationships to enable you to secure EL & CBU specs. and sales

  • Find & secure opportunities across complex projects & buildings

  • Utilise the sales enablement tools to maximise your chances of success

  • Engage with end users, design consultants & installing contractors, across multiple stakeholders to secure sales & ensure successful solution delivery

  • Position Eaton as the authoritative, trusted and leading Emergency Lighting manufacturer in the industry - Drive the EL strategy to meet the annual profit plan target, accelerating the sales pipeline and providing accurate forecasting for demand management and production scheduling

  • Be the voice of EL within the allocated territory

  • Engage with internal design and technical support teams to deliver accurate solutions effectively and efficiently, continually building personal understanding and capabilities

  • Be active in the wider Eaton team by encouraging and developing cross selling opportunities across the platform"


  • Proven sales performer in construction and ideally emergency lighting / electrical sector

  • EL product & market knowledge
  • A team player, consultative & detailed, confident presenter, driven

  • Results driven with absolute determination and motivation to achieve in sales. Highly organized, with attention to detail

  • A network of contacts and relationships in the Security Industry, M&E Consultant, Main and M&E Contracting community within the defined geography

  • The academic ability to successfully carry out the role with a broad understanding of sales processes and strategies

  • Approachable and able to communicate at all levels in an effective and clear manner

  • Commitment to excellence in customer service and satisfaction
