Job Description

Eaton's Electrical Engineering Systems & Services Division is looking for a Co-op Field Service Representative. This position is located at our Kitchener, ON office.

Position Overview:

 

Working with the Electrical Engineering Service & Systems group to provide onsite engineering and technical assistance in areas of electrical equipment maintenance, new equipment commissioning, custom electrical equipment modification, wiring, controls, drives and breakers.

In this function you will:

 
  • Assist different Field Service personnel in a wide variety of electrical work.

  • Assist in creating detailed and quality reports to customers covering the scope of work performed.

  • Follow required safety practices.
  • Manage paperwork and office procedures as required.
  • Perform all work at a high quality level.
  • Be willing and available to work evenings and weekends as required by our customers.

Qualifications

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

 
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering Technology Program or Engineering Degree Program.

  • This position does not offer relocation. The candidate must live within 80 km of the Kitchener location.

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Position Criteria:

 
  • Prior internship or co-op experience an asset.
  • Previous Manufacturing experience an asset.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics would be an asset.

  • Good attitude and work ethic.
  • Understanding of the company’s and competitor’s electrical distribution and mechanical products. 

  • Demonstrated customer service ability.
