A. Provides leadership
for the team to meet its short and long term goals.

F. Recruits and retain a team of engineers and support staff to provide both local product development and engineering services to the global engineering needs. Train, develop & motivate subordinates to achieve their professional goals & review their accomplishments.
G. NPI efficacy and predictable execution on programs – Design cycle time reduction, Analysis first approach
H. Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and retention of employees.
I. Providing leadership for the teams and liaison with global to drive operational cost efficiencies and doing business right. Drive innovation, technology identification and implementation of effective solutions to engineering problems.
J. Support/Drive overall strategy for Engineering team processes and capabilities to deliver high performance, on-time delivery in line with the business objectives & stakeholder needs.
K. Conducts Project Reviews to requirement analysis and product design. Identification of risks, creating mitigation plans & analyzes errors and improvements.
L. Demonstrates and leads NewCo’ s Values and Philosophies to sustain a culture of inclusiveness. Reinforces NewCo’ s Ethics.
M. Utilizes DFSS concepts / tools such as PDSC, P-Diagram, DFMEA, Risk Management & DVPR for new product development &/or existing product improvements
Eaton has announced its intent to spinoff its Lighting Business into publicly traded company (“SpinCo”). This transaction is expected to be completed by the end of 2019 and this position is expected to remain with SpinCo. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton’s plans, programs and practices. The Lighting Business is in the process of developing its total rewards philosophy, strategy and structure, including the design of its benefits and annual and long-term incentive plans that will take effect when SpinCo becomes a publicly traded company. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Lighting Business when SpinCo becomes an independent, publicly traded company, you will be eligible to participate in SpinCo’s compensation, health, welfare, and retirement benefit plans and programs and should have no expectations that SpinCo’s plans and programs will mirror or be substantially similar to Eaton’s.
Bachelors / Masters degree in Engineering (Electrical / Mechanical)
At least 10 years of leadership experience in a multinational engineering organization and a total of at least 15+ years in leading an interdisciplinary team.

Drive growth in respective team in terms of breadth and depth of capabilities in Electrical and mechanical design as well as adjacent technology areas in product engineering.
Proven track record of demonstrating competencies to manage a large and diverse team.
Sound knowledge & demonstrated experience of complete product development life cycle on multiple projects including requirements, design, development, verification & validation, qualification & certification.
Hands on experience with microcontrollers and electronics hardware design,Sensors & senising technologies, wired & wireless communication protocols, IOT & Cloud connectivity
Sound Knowledge and experience with process frameworks like waterfall, Agile or CMMi including requirements management, defect tracking, build management, change management, and configuration management tools
Experience collaborating with local / global suppliers for Hardware/Software procurement, building test lab setups etc.
Experience with Mechanical designs using sheet metals & polymers
Well verse with engineering cost out processes & tools"
