Eaton’s Electrical sector is currently seeking a Quality Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Waukesha, WI (Lincoln Ave) facility. Relocation assistance will be provided.
The primary function of the Quality Manager is to lead the execution and deployment of the Eaton Quality Management Systems (EQMS) to meet customer requirements. Manages and improves the overall plant quality systems and performance utilizing key performance measures, EQMS elements and Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS) Tools.

In this function you will:
Provide Quality Leadership across the facility to drive collaborative strategies and solutions to ensure active quality ownership by all employees
Support compliance with ISO by ensuring that processes needed for the quality management system are established, implemented, and maintained. Report to top management on the performance of the quality management system and any needs for improvement through Management Reviews. Ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization.
Lead the Internal ISO 9001 audit program for the organization and manage the corrective action system in conjunction with the management review process.
Develop and implement strategic projects and tactical initiatives to continually improve the overall Quality of products, information, and services.
Interface with customers, suppliers, partners, and internal stakeholders in both the plant and at customer locations to enhance their perception and understanding of the plant Quality systems. Facilitate customer Quality audits and inspections as appropriate to demonstrate compliance.
Develop, coordinate, and implement training programs relative to the Quality Management System.
Manage and effectiveness of the internal audit and corrective action programs through Q-Pulse system
Develop and analyze statistical data and product / process specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability requirements for the finished product.
Manage final and in-process inspections, along with direct responsibility for inspectors and testers. Drive error-proofing solutions at the source to address issues found during inspections.
Provide Quality leadership and support in development of new products, processes, and services (PROLaunch). Work with manufacturing and product engineering to ensure successful new product launches.
Drive key quality metrics including: Quality cost-of-non-conformance (Quality CONC), Scrap, DPPM (Internal, Customer, and Supplier), and Warranty. Perform Management Reviews to evaluate results and recommend countermeasures to close gaps at the operational level.
Coordinate and manage continuous improvement activities related to Quality including 8D’s, Kaizen events, BPI’s, Six Sigma projects, and other problem-solving activities. Drive to root causes and sustainable corrective actions.
Coordinate between Engineering Services, Sales & Marketing, and plant operations to ensure a systematic process is in place for warranty that maximizes customer resolution at a minimum cost.
Build organizational capacity across the facility by deploying the quality functional excellence tool set.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum three (3) years’ combined experience in quality, manufacturing and/or engineering role
Minimum two (2) years’ work experience managing people/direct reports
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship both now and in the future
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or business
- Prefer ASQ CQE or CMQOE certification.
- Prefer Six Sigma Blackbelt or Greenbelt certification.
- Previous experience managing a QMS
- Experience working with electrical products or components
Quality Management System knowledge and experience (ISO 9001, TS16949).
- Understand EQMS, ELSS
