2nd Shift Maintenance Helper

Job Description

Eaton’s Vehicle group is looking for a Maintenance Helper to join our second shift team. This position is based at our Hastings, NE facility.

 
Position Overview:

This position is responsible for performing scheduled preventative maintenance activities and assisting Maintenance Technicians to troubleshoot and repair facilities and plant equipment

In this function you will:

  • You will ensure compliance with safety and housekeeping practices, company policies and procedures

  • You will perform preventive maintenance on plant equipment
  • You will assist Maintenance Technicians in troubleshooting and repairing machine malfunctions and mechanical problems

  • You will work with outside contractors on various plant projects and repairs

  • You will perform mig, tig, arc and acetylene welding as needed.

  • You will use all tools and measuring instruments familiar to the trade.

  • You will assist with equipment moves as needed ensuring all safety requirements are met before and during the move.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous maintenance experience
  • Associates degree in related field
Position Criteria:
  • Knowledge of blueprint and process sheet reading
  • Demonstrated welding skills
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controls
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work load based on plant needs
  • Ability to communicate effectively across the organization
  • Knowledge of CNC Machines
