Eaton’s Electrical sector is currently seeking a Technical Instructor/Contract Specialist to join our team. This position is based at our Greenwood, South Carolina location. Relocation assistance will be provided.


Position Overview:

Responsible for all marketing training functions:  trade shows, technical conferences, quarterly workshops, remote training, and classes at customer sites; maintenance and improvement of training materials; and budgetary management.  Responsible for the following contract review:  contract terms and conditions; customer specifications against standard terms and conditions (T&Cs); and establish procedure for classification and escalation based on business and legal risks (back charges, liquidated damages, billing deviations, etc.)Making what matters work at Eaton takes the passion of every employee around the world. In this function you will:
  • Provide technical product training to customers while onsite, remotely and offsite locations.
  • Manage and monitor financials for customer funded training/invoice processes.
  • Evaluate course materials and instructional techniques to revise as needed to provide employees and customers with required product knowledge and skills.
  • Generate new lecture materials as requested by Customer by working with subject matter experts.
  • Facilitate and support annual white paper generation.
  • Lead training and support booth activities at Trade Shows to educate customers of product and application benefits.
  • Manage project calendars, provide status updates and project completion schedules.
  • Maintain customer training records and database.
  • Schedule and coordinate approved training programs.
  • Work directly with sales and application engineering teams on contract review needs.
  • Establish contract review guideline including unacceptable terms, approved deviations from T&Cs, and assessment process on other requests.  Implement with team to ensure consistent approach for all members.
  • Develop notification and success tracking on special term process to ensure Eaton meets custom commitments.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.

  • Three years of experience conducting technical training, engineering experience, or professional experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.

     
Preferred qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology from an accredited university.
  • Three years of technical training experience.
  • Experience with Contract Assessment or Terms and Condition reviews.
  • Knowledge of capacitor product application/design.
Position Criteria:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.

  • Three years of experience conducting technical training, engineering experience, or professional experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
