Eaton’s Power Components Division is currently seeking a Product Manager for Relays and Meters to join our team. This position is based at facilities in Pittsburgh, PA, Raleigh, NC, or Asheville, NC.
The Product Manager for Relays and Meters has the opportunity to expand an IoT evolution towards fully-connected, always-communicating, software-enabled electrical infrastructure products. This role specifically builds and manages the roadmaps for Low Voltage (LV) Relays, Medium Voltage (MV) Relays, and LV Meters, so close coordination with Vendors and ODMs is a critical responsibility. Be a key player in the strategic decision making required to establish and execute a vision for intelligent power management.
The Product Manager will develop compelling value propositions for product introductions, create requirements and use-case stories, lead product application documentation, and encourage training activities to expand product use within key industry verticals. Achieving sales growth of the product portfolio is a core responsibility. To accomplish this, the Product Manager works cross-functionally to develop product positioning and messaging that optimizes sales, profitability, and market share aligned to strategic and financial objectives.

Define, develop and optimize Eaton’s go to market approach for Meters and Relays as IOT solutions. This will include uncovering and highlighting the key customer decision makers, identifying the best coverage and channel models, and creating a monetization plan, with a sharp focus on targeting the best route to market.
Participate in the development and implementation of strategic plan and profit plan for electrical equipment including Meters & Relays. Plan and coordinate with other team members on compelling software and firmware solutions that can be bundled as industry-leading solutions.
Work closely with field sales, engineering service, and internal & external customers to identify and deliver new sales opportunities and initiatives. Drive new sales growth across multiple channels, including OEM, Data Center & Industrial Segments.
Identify and develop strategic partner relationships such as systems integrators to develop complimentary tools to integrate our products into larger systems.
Lead marketing efforts, including the development of supporting marketing collateral, such as presentations, new product launch materials, and catalog/system updates related to products of responsibility. Maintain responsibility for product literature content that includes features, benefits and performance data. This includes printed and electronic formats. Monitor these areas as part of product life cycle management
Coordinate efforts with Marketing to maximize social media, web content, video and other mediums of communications to Sales and Customers.
Work with applicable functions to ensure that the supply chain and manufacturing systems are aligned to the product strategy and are supporting growth and profitability objectives.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required
Five years’ experience in sales, marketing, engineering, or Product Management
Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Pittsburgh, PA, Raleigh, NC, or Asheville, NC. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering degree. MS-EE and/or MBS is a plus
