Global SIOP Inventory Analyst

Eaton is seeking a North America Inventory Analyst for its CrouseHinds, BLine, and Oil & Gas Division in the Electrical Sector.  This position is can be based at our Highland, IL or our Syracuse, NY location.

Position Overview:

The primary function of this role is to provide specialized support to the North America management team through data analytics and reporting.  The position manages the development and execution of the analysis for North America Inventory for both B-Line and Crouse Hinds businesses.  Analysis will serve to increase the depth and breadth of the function for significant business processes, as well as, provide the management team with information to better monitor the financial and operational activities of the business. This position will oversee roughly $130M of working capital and needs to have a solid understanding around f(x) impacts, profit in inventory, and in transit inventory.

Specific tasks associated include: Partner with individuals at plant level to provide analytic services, assist in the development and execution of analytic routines while maintaining acceptable cycle time and quality standards, oversee/build working relationship with the Pune analytic team, participate and support special projects and ad-hoc data analysis upon request on an as needed basis – inventory monitoring, shipment monitoring, service monitoring, building tools to better project month end figures.

In this function you will:
  • Assign and maintain product segmentation for all parent and child items in the MRP system – develop inventory entitlement policies and monitor sites adherence.
  • Support manufacturing sites in growing maturity and stability with inventory management in SAP.
  • Support creation and maintenance of inventory playbooks – inventory entitlement.
  • Work with the sites to drive execution to plan for every part – assist in creating planning strategies.
  • Propose new processes, procedures, practices and templates to the Material Manager.
  • Drive continuous improvement actions with each CH site that requires support from this function.
  • Maintain constant coverage to the sites and be responsive to all requests and needs for data.
  • Train and mentor new material analysts and spearhead complex initiatives facing the team.
  • The subject matter expert with all fulfillment and replenishment tools (MRP Monitor, Pace, Material Availability, REM) and related material analysis tools.
  • Develop tracking methods to assist the organization with understanding PII, In transit, and f(x) impacts before month end.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • BA/BS from accredited institution
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Material Management using an ERP/MRP system
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Highland, IL or Syracuse, NY will be considered.  Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred qualifications:
  • BA/BS in business, economics, supply chain management, or engineering required 
  • CPIM, CSCP, and/or PMP certification desired 
  • Masters (MBA) preferred 
  • SAP super user preferred
  • 7 years of experience in Material Management within SAP
