Eaton’s Eletrical division is currently seeking a Sales and Marketing Manager to join our team. This position is based in Vallejo.

The Sales and Marketing Manager is responsible for developing the overall geographic sales and marketing strategy and leading both the sales and marketing teams to implement and execute those plans to meet expected growth and profitability goals.  This position requires coaching, directing and training sales and marketing professionals in their respective assignments to succeed at managing and developing their customer base, leveraging internal and external sales resources, driving product roadmaps and portfolio management.  This role also drives channel to market and the marketing communications strategy in order to achieve market share gains, support price attainment goals and support strategic initiatives throughout the region

The Sales and Marketing Manager will be also responsible of:

  • Analyze market data, trends, and customer needs in order to align with executive management concerning market opportunities, threats and along with that long-term organizational strategy and implementation of operational plans to execute the sales strategy.

  • Manage sales plans by developing and assigning individual or team targets and supporting and motivating sales representatives in achieving their plans.

  • Maintain and build relations with important customers, internal sales organizations, business units and branch organizations.

  • Initiate collaborations in sales activities within Eaton, resulting in synergy sales and new business.

  • Create and manage a sales organization that promotes the entire RWDD product basket in the market

  • Develop distinctive product plans with outstanding financial outcomes; be competent in microeconomics, finance, VOC, research and analysis and basic marketing toolkit [market definition and sizing, segmentation, value management, targeting and positioning, pricing]

  • Display strong market knowledge and influence strategy development and investment decisions

  • Prioritize new business opportunities to capture market share

  • Provide strategic marketing direction for new product development, upgrades and launches

  • Work with the US Based Product Managers and Marketing teams for Eaton RWDD to drive regional requirements through the product planning process; develop and manage roadmaps linked to target segments and customer needs and willingness to pay; product positioning linked to distinctive understanding of competitive offerings and value; product value pricing.

  • Understand and develop pricing models, with proven ability to develop value pricing strategies and monetize offerings

  • Direct responsibility for the creation and implementation of strategic marketing plans for new product introductions, promotions, merchandising, advertising, website and company positioning and channel-specific programs aimed at increasing sales and growing market share for the division

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering
  • Master’s degree in Business or Marketing is strongly preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish - English
  • Direct Sales and Agent Management experience
  • Experience in developing direct reports and others, building effective teams and consensus building in a matrix’s environment
  • Knowledge of electrical products and distribution channels
  • Ability to understand and effectively communicate customer needs across functions
  • Market knowledge
  • Experience planning and managing the sales resources to assure adequate coverage is applied to major, new and existing customer accounts
  • Knowledge of sales techniques, customers, customer relations, and personnel development
  • Demonstrates time management, presentation, interpersonal and communication, and teamwork skills
