This exciting role offers opportunity to:
- Provides desktop, basic application, and telecom support at Eaton locations.
Under the guidance of a more senior peer or a supervisor, this position will participate in the centralized support for IT applications and systems to ensure timely, reliable, cost effective service to Eaton employees and customers.
Assists in daily activities relating to IT Site Infrastructure Support of (SIS) Data Networks – especially LAN, PCs, Servers, Telephony, and related systems.
Possesses a detailed technical understanding of existing systems. Assists with or performs testing and evaluation of systems as part of a team.
Assists with analysis of system related issues.
Creates system documentation and best practices in concert with other team members. The successful candidate will also be responsible for working collaboratively with the Zone SIS team and Corporate IT functional groups and participates on initiatives that are part of Eaton Business System processes, which raise the quality of support provided across the entire organization
- A Bachelor degree in Information Technology with two to 2 years experience (preferred) or Associate Degree in business or technology plus 3 years IT experience
- ITIL, MCSA, or comparable certification preferred
Intermediate Level Knowledge of the following:
Microsoft Operating Systems
Microsoft Office Suite
Endpoint Devices – PC, Laptop, Mobile Devices, PC Peripherals
Other IT Infrastructure (working knowledge) – network, servers, storage, phone systems
Miscellaneous Equipment used in manufacturing locations such as bar code scanners, specialized printers, industrial PCs, RF Scanners, etc.
Use of ticketing system and meeting Service Level Agreements
IT Service Management - Asset Management, Incident Management, Request Management, Problem Management and Change Management
