Assembler II - 2nd Shift

Eaton Corporation, the Aerospace Group is currently recruiting for an Assembler II on 2nd shift  to join our team. This position is in our Irvine, CA location.


This position is responsible for the assembly of sub-assemblies and top level assemblies fuel components while working from verbal instructions, blueprints, operation sketches and assembly drawings. Position will work closely with other Assembly Technicians and assist Manufacturing Engineering when needed to support the development work instructions, tools and fixtures.

In this function you will:
  • Assemble parts or units, and position, align, and fasten units to assemblies, subassemblies, or frames using hand tools and power tools

  • Disassemble and assemble product that is returned for repair
  • Utilize hand tools such as pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, arbor press, vises, soldering iron, micrometers, calipers and indicators

  • Use routing sheets, operating instruction sheets or other documentation to ensure proper assembly of parts. You will perform visual inspection of units during the assembly process and at completion of assembled

  • Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required

  • Minimum two (2) years’ previous work experience in mechanical assembly

  • Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship

  • No relocation provided. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Irvine, CA in order to be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous work experience in the Aerospace industry
