Senior Accountant/Controller
 
Key responsibilities:
 
Accounting/Controlling
 
  • Drives month-end closing process in accordance with internal guidelines and policies
  • Acts as an interface between other ledger finance personnel located in Czech Rep. and abroad to ensure smooth and effective closing
  • Prepares month end accounting entries - intercompany recharges, accruals, recurring entries and overhead allocation, EU grant monthly booking
  • Issues invoices for Engineering projects
  • Drives the business cost calculation for the Innovation Center

Reporting
  • Works with the EEIC Finance Manager to produce the yearly Profit Plan, Monthly
  • Forecasts and project finance
  • Assists EEIC Finance manager in monitoring performance and provides accurate and timely financial information and analysis to various levels of management
  • Prepares and maintains rolling forecasts for diverse engineering team and support functions located in EEIC
  • Performs process & system improvements to deliver world-class decision making;
  • Identifies standard process deviation, process inefficiency/ineffectiveness and opportunities for process improvement
  • Performs specialized analyses to support day to day and as well as strategic business decisions per direction from EEIC Finance manager
  • Supports compliance to US GAAP, local GAAP, corporate policy, guidelines and internal control, cooperates with Internal and external audit

Qualifications

  • Proven accounting background min. 5 years, strong knowledge of Czech GAAP and business analysis experience of min. 3 years
  • Strong knowledge of Budget management
    MS-Office (Advanced Excel) and experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) is an advantage
  • Must have strong analytical skills to interpret and relate financial data
  • Strong Knowledge and experience of financial practices and systems of international corporations, and statutory accounting requirements
  • Good interpersonal, communication skills
  • Ability to operate across, and influence within, a complex matrix organizational structure
  • Ability to analyse, understand and present verbal and numerical information to any level of stakeholders
  • Fluent Czech and English
