This role is in Accounts Payable Process in a fast paced, high volume SSC environment that supports Eaton’s global business and operations that use SAP application for financial accounting and reporting. The position is responsible for preparing and processing invoices, indexing, payments, vendor master creation and maintenance, answering supplier queries, resolving customer queries etc. with a high degree of efficiency and quality for Eaton business units.

- The primary purpose is to mentor and guide the Hydraulics accounting team in providing timely, accurate and relevant accounting and financial analysis to the finance leaders of the Hydraulics Group
- The role is to manage the processes to ensure close collaboration with the Hydraulics HQ Compliance, Finance, Region/Business teams and plant controllers
- This position will be responsible for transitioning activities from HQ, Region/Business and plants to train and develop team members
- The role will oversee and execute accounting and financial processes required to plan, record, analyze and report on-time and accurate reporting
- Proactive communication and follow-up effectively highlighting trends, concerns/issues, etc. to multiple levels of finance leaders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Limit yourself to 8-12 statements)

Lead the transition of accounting, analysis, and reporting from HQ and Plant teams
Assistance and analysis in preparation of Hydraulics plants monthly close activities (including reconciliations, journal entries, reporting & analysis and compliance related activities etc.)
Accountable for critical financial reporting requirements associated with the month close activities, compliance and forecasting
Support the preparation and communication of analysis for monthly management reviews
Prepare and lead project plans to execute improvements
Analyze operational and financial data, investigate variances, identify business drivers and evaluate their impact on planned objectives
Build a strong control environment to ensure that the accounting processes are compliant with Internal Audit, SOX/CTV and Hydraulics polices and guidelines
Identify opportunities for finance best practice sharing and standardization across the regions.
Develop, guide and mentor the Hydraulics accounting team in Pune, India
Support team to interpret and respond to ad hoc financial requests
Perform and enhance reporting responsibilities meeting and exceeding the customer expectations by building strong business acumen and driving a culture of quality and automation where creativity and innovation is a process.
Build scalable and capable organization to deliver quality services
Mentor and guide team in additional analysis as assigned.
Managing the teams across functions with the responsibility to mentor and develop potential team leaders to build organizational capability.
Record any measurable statistics which your position impacts such as production expenses, maintenance expenses, sales volumes, payroll costs, capital expenditures, research budgets, cost of purchases, value of inventories controlled, employees supervised (direct and indirect).
Sales of $2.8 billion with Profit of $0.3 billion, Accounts Receivable of $0.3 billion and Gross Inventory of $0.4 billion allocated across hundreds of product lines with approximately 105 ledgers for the entire Hydraulics Segment.
Three Hydraulics Businesses (Hydraulics, Filtration and Golf Pride) supporting plants across the world
Describe any specialized knowledge or skill (e.g., technical, scientific, administrative, managerial), which your position requires.
- Accounting Degree (B.Com) with additional qualification of CA/CMA/CFA/MBA (Finance) preferable.
7-12 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial planning & analysis
Captive/Multinational experience (pre-requisite)
Experience in multinational manufacturing industry and with ERP preferred
Team player with a “can-do” attitude and able to guide and train team members in performing regular and critical activities
Working Knowledge of Business Intelligence Tools (ex, Oracle, MFG Pro, OBIEE, Qlikview, etc.)
Proficiency with MS-Office Power Point, Word, Access and advanced knowledge of Excel, preferable
Superior analytical and thinking skills, intellectual rigor and curiosity, problem-solving capability
Strong written communication and oral communication skills required, must be able to gauge the needs of a variety of internal customers and adapt delivery style or level of detail as appropriate
Adaptable to varying cultures due to the global footprint within the Hydraulics business.
Work well under pressure and be skilled at managing multiple tasks within demanding timelines
Ability to work in a fast paced, continuously changing environment and effectively dealing with ambiguous situations
