TIG Welder (1st Shift)

Eaton’s Aerospace Division is currently seeking a Welder to join our team. This position is based at our Bethel, CT facility.

In this function you will:
  • Operate welding machines
  • Perform leak testing operations
  • Operate heat treat and furnace brazing equipment
  • Perform Tig, EB (Electron Beam), Spotwelding (resistance)
  • Perform minor assembly of electro-mechanical components
  • Tin and drill housings
  • Induction brazing/soldering (lapel)
  • Maintain quality records
  • Interpret customer and supplier requirements

Required (Basic) Qualifications: 

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution

  • Minimum two years Tig welding experience  

  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future  

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Bethel, CT will be considered.  Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. 

  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Minimum of one year experience with Tig and/or electron beam (EB) welding 

Position Criteria:
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to qualify to AWSD17.1
  • Ability to read visual aids, sketches and blueprints

  • Basic knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing techniques

  • Basic computer skills
