Eaton’s Lighting Division is currently seeking a Distribution Center Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Bordentown, NJ location.
The Distribution Center Manager has an influence over the customer’s experience. In this role you will report to the Director of Distribution Operations. You will be responsible for managing a team of warehouse employees and be accountable for the profit and loss of a distribution center. Your key objectives are to drive safety, delivery, inventory accuracy, productivity and employee engagement.

In this function you will:
Provide visible leadership and guidance to all distribution center employees. Foster continuous improvements and best practices; Coach, train and develop distribution personnel to ensure accountability, in addition to goal and priority alignment; foster collaboration and common goal setting in a matrix environment
Initiate process and procedure improvements resulting in higher inventory accuracy
Maintain data accuracy in areas such as attendance, quality and productivity metrics as well as identify and implement any corrective actions.
Lead efforts to control costs through inventory strategies, freight/carrier management and elimination of waste through lean strategy implementation.
Responsible for proper maintenance of warehouse equipment, to include forklifts, providing both preventative maintenance programs and all necessary repairs.
Ensure warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment to perform the distribution functions.
Responsible for shift talent management, employee engagement and performance management – assessing current team members, identifying needs, selecting talent, and developing current employees to ensure “bench strength” and continued development and advancement of top talent within the organization.
Provide coaching, motivation, and counseling to employees to encourage optimum performance and continued skill development.
Ensure maintenance of records and reports on productivity, quality, and attendance across the shift.
Engage leaders in LEAN initiatives including but not limited to operator standard work, 5S, pull systems, empowered work teams, and structured problem solving.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
3 years of experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment\
3 years of experience managing people
Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Bordentown, NJ will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
1-year SAP experience required
5 years of experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment
5 years of experience managing people in a distribution or manufacturing environment
2 years of experience working with Third Party Logistics (3PL)
WMS Warehouse Management System experience preferred
RF Scanner experience preferred
Eaton has announced it has reached an agreement to sell its Lighting Business to Signify N.V. This transaction is expected to be completed in the first Quarter of 2020 and this position is expected to remain with the Lighting Business and would transfer to Signify N.V. upon close. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton’s plans, programs and practices.
