Eaton’s Eletrical division is currently seeking a Sr. CI & OpEx Engineer  to join our team. This position is based in Cuautitlan

The Sr. CI & OpEx Engineer is responsible to drive Continuous Improvement implementation through all plant, including manufacturing and administrative areas, providing the resources and mentoring key contributors to ensure successful implementation to enable the plant to achieve Quality, Financial, Customer and Delivery Targets.

The Sr. CI & OpEx Engineer will be also responsible of:

  • Drive Continuous Improvement implementation in all manufacturing and administrative areas, and sustain the results achieved.

  • Providing Training and mentoring to Key contributors based on ELSS Criteria, Continuous improvement Framework, Rapid Improvement Event.

  • Driving Continuous Improvement Efforts based on Key Metrics and BSC.

  • Participate in the performance management process and provide input to the appropriate functions in terms of career development interests.

  • Leading the CI Council as Chairman.

  • Leading the Continuous Improvement Framework Initiative.

  • Leads ELSS and OpA Internal Audit team and conducts training and audits. Develops implementation plans with Business Team and Operational Leaders after annual audits. (Tactical Plans)

  • Facilitates the Plant CI Council that consists of Business Team Leaders, Staff members, and Operational Excellence Leaders. Council monitors ELSS, CIF, Cost out projects and Lean BSC metrics and redirects activities and resources as needed to exceed requirements.

  • Conducting ELSS Self-Assessment and support on others Eaton Facilities.

  • Supporting EBS Deployment leading the ELSS implementation.

  • Supporting EBS pull process.

  • Implements, promotes and maintains a safe work environment by implementing a culture of accidents prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and application of rules. Identify, control and administer risk and danger in own area.

  • Promotes the company’s mission and vision by actively supporting Eaton’s ethics and values as well as quality policies.

  • Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results.

5 – 7 years’ experience in lean manufacturing engineering deployment in a plant


English – language capability, speaking, reading and writing required


Requires strong manufacturing process understanding, organizational, planning and communication skills


Requires extensive knowledge of lean manufacturing principles


Six Sigma certification


Knowledge of behavioral science, including the ability to motivate, counsel and constructively deal with people at all levels


Strong leadership skills must be capable of leading their organization on a continuous journey of sustained improvement
