Job Description

Eaton’s Electrical Division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Systems Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our Lincoln, IL location. Relocation is provided.

Position Overview:

This position will work with multiple site leaders and assist with the design and development of complex SQL queries and stored procedures. This position will perform integration testing on newly developed components and assist with troubleshooting and resolving incidents during the software development lifecycle. This position requires a candidate who is a dynamic thinker in a team-oriented development environment. This position requires a strong understanding of ERP systems and how systems can be leveraged to drive business process efficiencies across all functions of the business (including Sales, Commercial Operations, Finance, Sourcing, Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Customer Service).  The successful candidate will be responsible for complying with Eaton development standards and working with shared service organizations to provide solutions for the site.

In this function you will:  

  • Analyze and develop applications using SQL Server utilizing Visual Studio 2010. This includes but is not limited to Stored Procedures, Views, table maintenance, and .Net development. (REQUIRED very important)

  • Interpreting program specifications.

  • Be creating application design documentation.

  • Develop or modify SQL queries and stored procedures to meet business requirements.

  • Perform tests and produce results to ensure accurate compliance with project request requirements.

  • Effectively engage internal global teams, etc. to create & propose technology designs& solutions with high impact to the business

  • Partner with business leaders and users to identify business requirements and arrive at mutual, cost effective solutions for data collection, reporting and business process improvements

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience within manufacturing

  • Must have at least one (1) year of programming experience working in Visual Basic or SQL

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • 1 year of planning experience working in AS400 or MAPICs.

  • 3 plus years of experience in supply chain, specifically in Materials Management within manufacturing.

  • 3 years of experience programming experience working in Visual Basic or SQL

  • Must have experience in all phases of software development life cycle including project management, functional requirements definition, technical design, development, testing, quality assurance, system certification, systems implementation and system validation.

Position Criteria:

  • Work experience in SQL server creating complex queries and stored procedures.

  • Strong understanding of T-SQL, Stored Procedures and Indexes.

  • Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices.

  • Hands-on experience with transforming business requirements into data processes.

  • Ability to conduct research into database issues, standards, and products.

  • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language to business team.

  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

  • .NET (C# or VB.NET) or other programming experience.

  • Microsoft SQL Server / Oracle experience
