We are looking for Supply Chain Officer in Eaton’s electrical business, based in Mascot, NSW, Australia. This exciting role offers the opportunity to:
Deploy and continuously improve purchasing and Supply Chain processes across the ANZ region
Liaise with multiple Suppliers to ensure the smooth flow of product throughout the end to end supply chain
Be an integral part of the Sales, Inventory & Operation Planning (SIOP) process
Maintain inventory balance between distribution centers and consignment locations
Ensure On-Time Delivery (OTD), Inventory days on hand (DOH) and cost out targets are achieved
Investigate and share best practice across regions and industries
Support Product Managers in the demand planning process by providing a baseline forecasts and updating revisions in demand planning tool/ERP system
Align and execute the demand, supply and inventory plans to support customer requirements
Evaluate and maintain inventory management policies, including strategies, forecasts, min/max, ROP, EOQs, safety stocks and associated parameters.
Provide recommendations on appropriate purchasing policies, i.e. made to order, make to stock, etc.
Initiate and maintain the planning and distribution of purchased/assigned commodity items for multiple Outside Processing Partners (OSP) to ensure on-time customer deliveries
Interfaces and assists suppliers/contractors to mitigate risk, managing constraints, overcoming issues and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
Manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and Material Requirements Plan (MRP) action messages
Determine cost-effective transportation modes and storage capacity requirements through logistics planning and optimization
Implement and maintain DRP requirements between branches/consignment locations
Initiate and drive inventory optimization projects (E&O reduction, active inventory optimization, replenishment strategies, etc.)
Support shared services center to ensure none essential supply chain tasks are performed in the most cost-effective manner
Report on KPIs, conduct root cause analysis on poor performance and drive improvement actions
Implement projects to achieve key requirements on OTD, DOH, and cost out
Implement Sourcing/Procurement strategies; focusing on cost out and payment terms (DPO)
Apply quality control methods such as ISO, EQMS, and ELSS; liaise with suppliers on quality issues
Audit inventory and records for accuracy, including the maintenance of cycle counts and participation in the annual physical inventory process
Maintain ERP data integrity and health checks
Maintain strong and timely communication with the sales force on order updates and stock inquiries
Participate and support with Supplier QBR’s
Support Eaton Business System (EBS) and continuous improvements; facilitate problem-solving teams
Ensure all activities comply with legal and ethical requirements
Be aware of the company’s and your own obligations under the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations as well as the company’s documented Quality Management system
Other job-related duties and task as requested by Management
Qualifications
A relevant tertiary qualification and/or body of knowledge certification (e.g. APICS, CPM, etc.) is preferred
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a supply chain and logistics/planning position
Knowledge of forecasting and stocking concepts/models and experience in utilizing appropriate software
- Business acumen
Proven experience/accomplishments in business process improvement
Change management experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
ERP/MRP System knowledge essential; SAP / Oracle preferred
Excellent computer skills (including Excel)
Well-developed problem solving and critical thinking skills
