Your essential responsibilities:
1) Provide leadership to and manage the activities and resources of E2E (end-to-end) Industrial Sector for Global Financial Services and Systems (GFSS), Pune and further grow the E2E Industrial vertical as per roadmap. Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain & promote an effective internal control environment and build organizational capability.
2) This role will be part of GFSS Pune team responsible for managing the transition of E2E Industrial Sector Financial accounting activities from Eaton Sites in North America/EMEA/India/ANZ regions.
3) This leadership position has the overall responsibility to manage the operational performance of Industrial E2E sites including month close, variance analysis, compliance (reconciliations), manufacturing financial insights and agreed upon business metrics per site.
4) This role will support by working closely with Divisions/Controller in developing forward-looking insights to drive management decision, actions and improve operational and financial results. It provides proactive leadership around issues and opportunities with problem solving, solutions-oriented approach.
5) The Industrial E2E Manager provides technical competency to ensure compliance with corporate financial policies, various accounting policies (US GAAP) and internal controls (SOX).
6) This position is responsible for building organizational capability within the finance function by hiring and developing finance personnel in the Industrial E2E team.
Industrial ETE (End to End) Strategic Initiative Execution
A. Responsible for the management of the Industrial E2Ethrough ‘effective teaming’ with Purchase to Pay (PTP), Order to Cash (OTC)and Record to Report (RTR) transaction activities.
B. Responsible for the successful transition and execution of Industrial E2E roadmap from sites in scope within agreed timeline sand approved budgets.
Serve as a Member of GFSS-Pune Management Team
A. Responsible for the successful implementation and execution of GFSS long and short-term objectives and goals at a global and site level.
B. Build relationships across the organization and external to the company (Audit firms, Divisional Finance, Sector SOX leads, ICPO i.e. Internal Control Program Office, etc.).
C. Ability to cut across functions and drive cross functional initiatives which contribute to ultimate Eaton Goals.
D. Active participation in the leadership team of the GFSS,Pune. Provide input and ideas to improve the results and services.
E. Collaborate and work with the support functions, including HR & IT that are functionally aligned to this position, to achieve GFSS, Pune objectives.
F. Collaborate with peers in GFSS to ensure engagement, participation and contribution to broader goals, policies and initiatives.
G. Developing E2E Strategies for Industrial sector in tandem with the Senior Managers to enhance the capability and growth of GFSS, Pune.
H. Support EBS implementation, for transparent integration with other GFSS locations and high business process quality. Deploy EBS tool seffectively.
I. Provides annual planning support related to the coordination, review and consolidation of the location’s departmental expenses.
Management of ETE (End to End) Services for Industrial Sector
A. Ensure monthly closure of books within the timelines set. Ownership of account reconciliation process to maintain integrity of general ledger and its supporting sub-systems. Assess adequacy of reserves and overall financial reporting.
B. Drive a lean culture through use of EBS (Eaton Business System) Lean tools – Six Sigma, BPIs (Business Process Improvement), etc. and through use of technology like Robotics Process Automation (RPA), etc.
C. Develop and actively strengthen business partnerships with key stakeholders and customers. Drive customer engagement and customer satisfaction on a regular basis. Responsible for customer service levels, establishing and renegotiating service level agreements and leading “Improvement Agenda” reviews.
D. Ensure integrity and accuracy of all information reported to internal and external customers. Promote quality culture within the GFSS,Pune through focus on reducing cycle times and cost outs.
E. Collaborate and Lead ad hoc projects to drive business and customer experience, including appropriate ERP implementations and system upgrades, business development initiatives such as new business opportunities(and possibly financial review of development contracts and appropriate revenue recognition and project accounting (as applicable).
F. Effective Teaming with Transactional Accounting services(PTP, OTC, RTR) to drive process/business improvement that adds organizational value and customer experience
A. Promote and maintain an effective Internal Control environment that supports compliance with both US GAAP and all local & statutory requirements in all countries supported by GFSS, Pune. This includes compliance with all the requirements of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX).
B. Establish, monitor and maintain a system of internal controls that safeguards company asset and provides for integrity and propriety of financial transactions and activities. Compliance with corporate policy, including SOX.
C. Interpret, implement and monitor corporate policies and procedures, ensure financials are reported in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and local statutory requirements.
A. Provide adequate training and oversight to all finance personnel to ensure account reconciliations meet Eaton’s requirements. Provide leadership and support for the Balance Sheet Review process.
B. Build Organizational Capability: Attract and select talent to meet current and future business needs, develop employees to meet organizational goals as well as career goals, and build effective teams that apply diverse skills and backgrounds to achieve organizational objectives. Foster employee involvement in continuous improvement efforts, by empowering teams.
C. People Management: This position would be responsible for managing a highly skilled & talented team with responsibility for mentoring and developing talent.
D. Focus on employee engagement and retention of key personnel. Drive initiatives and activities to enable high degree of employee satisfaction.
E. Ensure that highest ethical standards are maintained.
If you are having,
Finance and Accounting degree or international equivalent (CA/CPA/Management Accountant)
10 + years of financial & accounting domain experience in a multinational corporation
Strong Operational Acumen
Experience in a manufacturing environment with multiple businesses is a must
Ability to interface and support operational finance teams
Sound working knowledge of GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley and local statutory requirements
Experience with managing People and multiple business sites
Knowledge & understanding of corporate, region/division and plant reporting policies
Technical capability to prepare, analyze and interpret financial and operational data/reports
Experience of SAP, Oracle ERP & Financials
Strong problem solving, solutions-oriented capabilities (hands-on)
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent analytical, written and oral communication (including presentation) skills
Adaptable to varying cultures and working with global and regional stakeholders
Process oriented and continuous improvement focused
Strong ability to influence and to challenge the decision process
Work timings will be from 2:30 PM (IST) to 11:30 PM (IST).
During close process there would be times when this role would need to stretch (from work timings perspective).
