Eaton’s Cooper Lighting Solutions is currently seeking a Commercialization Marketing Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Peachtree City, GA location.

The Commercialization Manager is responsible for ensuring that effective and integrated marketing and promotional plans are created and delivered to the most impactful target audiences in order to drive profitable growth for assigned business unit..

In this function you will:
  •  New Product Introduction Process (Agile ProLaunch). Understand at an expert-level the Agile ProLaunch NPI process and  participate as a team member, work package approver and collaborator. Serve as a key liaison to the Program Manager.

  •  Product Marketing Positioning. Understand “Why” New Product is Created. Work with product management to understand target markets and end-users and develop messaging and commercialization plan via OneLaunch Market Launch Planning tools

  •  OneLaunch StageGate Process Owner & Gatekeeper: Know, Understand, Govern and Execute     OneLaunch Process. Present Marketing Plans at Gate 4 MDG Review

  •  Promotional Planning: Understand Paid, Earned, Owned Marketing Assets and Leverage. Develop the Marketing Plan & Promotional Tactics for Platinum Launches. Develop the Marketing Tools for Gold/Silver/Bronze Launches.  Manage promotional budgets in conjunction with Product Marketing Manager

  •  Marketing Program Management: Ensure an integrated marketing plan is delivered on-time for key NPI launches. Liaison between Product Marketing, Program Management, Channel, Sales, Digital Teams for market launch plans and hold accountable.

  • Project Tracking: Diligent use of project tracker to manage timelines to ensure NPI (new product introduction) commercialization aligns with PROLaunch timing.

  • Subject-Matter Expert. Be a subject-matter expert on assigned product lines to the Marcomm content & demand generation team as well as to Marcomm agencies (i.e. provide key points for initial draft press releases)

  •  Creative Direction: Provide guidance to internal and external creative resources to ensure brand vision and key messaging is captured. Govern for visual consistency across all marketing mediums via structured briefs and approvals.

  • Author Presentations: Create or collaborate to build effective presentations for internal and external use to support product sell-in, explain positioning or to gain buy-in and approval of commercialization activities. 

  •  Tradeshow Support: For Tier 1 shows, serve as a key consultant and contributor on product displays and creating the user experience to effectively showcase features and benefits. Able to attend shows as an SME if needed.

  •  Create Selling Tools: Develop marketing collateral that explains the market positioning for identified key audiences. Requires providing creative direction to the commercialization design team and to the copywriter to ensure

  •  Budget Management: Track the Budget for Commercialization Marketing Expenses.  Adhere to budget guidelines. Make spending recommendations based upon revenue projections and ROI for the expense. Work in association with Marcom to ensure launch is within planned SG&A and track ROI post-commercialization

  •  Agent Webcast: Maintain updated webcast calendar and ensure effective materials are prepared for the agent webcasts.  Frequently, the Commercialization Manager will present and train on Connected Communities behalf to assure that the brands remain current with our sales teams and channel.

  •  Case Studies:  Case studies including illustrations and photography are impactful to demonstrate the value of the solutions to our customers.  Responsibilities will include arranging all activities to frequently provide/update case studies.

  • Team Management & Development: A significant part of the role will be to manage internal and external service providers such as the creative design, production personnel, writers, photographers, sample case vendors, etc. to build a core group that can be relied upon to successful deliver marketing solutions for Connected Communities..

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree from accredited university.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working within a corporate marketing team or agency.

  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Peachtree City will be considered.  Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Bachelors of Arts, or Bachelors of Business degree

  • Prior graphic design leadership—either directly or indirectly through managing graphic designers techniques and a structured engineering phase gate development process

Eaton has announced it has reached an agreement to sell its Lighting Business to Signify N.V. This transaction is expected to be completed in the first Quarter of 2020 and this position is expected to remain with the Lighting Business and would transfer to Signify N.V. upon close.  The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton’s plans, programs and practices.  If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Lighting Business when the transaction closes, you will be eligible to participate in Signify N.V.’s compensation, health, welfare, and retirement benefit plans and programs and should have no expectations that Signify N.V’s plans and programs will mirror or be substantially similar to Eaton’s.
