Assembler Tester – Mechanical Assembly

 

We are seeking an Assembler Tester to join Havant Plant.  The will be based in the Mechanical Assembly PFT, working for Terry Rickard, PFTM. This will initially be on day shift but may be required to work double Day shift in line with business requirements.

 

The primary function of this role will be to sub assemble, build and test a variety of standard products of moderate complexity, dependent on the area

Typical work activities include:, but are not limited to  To comply with all environmental, health and safety policies and procedures. Reporting any relevant issues to immediate Supervisor.  Obtain product parts, materials, tools etc., set up bench and test facility, assemble and test product.  Focus on Continuous Improvement and on accomplishing Departmental and Plant goals. using the Eaton Lean System work processes as and when applied to the area.  Ensuring the customer is provided with products to his / her quality requirements in the right quantity and on time  Reconcile product, product documentation and produce to meet customer need

 

To succeed in this role, applicants will:  Have a good understanding of Customer Satisfaction  Be willing to take on challenges of a busy production department  Possess drive and enthusiasm to help meet monthly production targets  Demonstrate a practical knowledge of Mechanical assembly  Demonstrate PC skills   Demonstrate a practical understanding of Hydraulic assembly processes  Be able to work with others including engineers and project teams to identify and solve problems/faults and improve processes

 

The key personal characteristics will include:  Ability to prioritise effectively and accurately  Team Player  Responsible for own work  Clear communicator   Flexibility and ability to work under pressure

 

This position is hourly paid and is Grade C (starting at training rate) Candidates will only be called for interview if they can provide evidence of the above knowledge, skills and experience.   This position is permanent and open to temporary agency employees currently working in Havant Plant.
