This exciting role offers the opportunity to:

  • Understand the competitive landscape, existing and anticipated market trends, and recommend strategic action plans

  • Develop and execute sales and market development plans to achieve revenue and profit projections

  • Work with partners / channels to create demand generation for the end users as well as to develop joint business, sales and marketing plans to achieve goals and objectives and coordinate sales process between partners / channels

  • Work as a “Manager of People” role with the local sales & customer service team reporting into this position

     
Your essential responsibilities:
  • Provide strong leadership and develop further business with other major clients and channels

  • Interacting and forming strong relationships with clients/channels at a senior level and oversees the successful delivery of all business and projects

  • Training to the channel partners
  • Manage commercial aspect of Filtration Sales in region including, sales, marketing, customer service, technical service, and warehousing

  • Energetic, self-driven, positive attitude and results oriented leader with good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Timely management reports on sales efforts and accurate revenue forecast

  • Drive changes and improvements within the organization

  • Manage employee’s performance appraisal, and build and uphold a working environment that attracts, retains and develop committed employees

  • Willing to travel extensively within Japan and be available to travel out of Japan for regional meetings.

  • Work closely with the division SCM team to optimize inventory as well as continue to support vendor/ supplier relationships both in Japan as well as Thailand

If you have:
  • Prior Filtration industry & products experience of 8-10 years is a must

  • Hands on experience & knowledge of Automotive Industry in Japan is preferred

  • Past or current business activities targeted at broad customer industries including (but not limited to Chemical, Automotive, Electronics, F&B, Mechanical Engineering / EPC, water treatment, etc.

  • Degree in any discipline but ideally in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering discipline backed with a minimum 10 years of similar capacity in managing business or operations in Japan is preferred

  • Strong business acumen, proven sales track record in sales management and team management

  • Good command of English (verbal and written) is required

  • Possess good communication, presentation and negotiation skills

  • Proven distributor sales management experiences
  • Knowledge about Japan filtration market
  • Experience on forecasting, Inventory management will be added advantage
