Eaton’s Power System division is currently seeking a Materials Leader to join our team. This position is based at our Querétaro facility.

Some activities related with the position will be:

  • Supervise and coordinate assigned Planners-Buyers, handling priorities of production and support issues with suppliers

  • Follow up metrics OTM, OTD, Orders Fill Rate, SOTD, and Inventory.

  • Follow and solving issues in production meeting daily.

  • Revise and validate with finance in weekly basis POV, PPV, GR/IR.

  • Validate and verify Info Records for costing and annual cost roll.

  • Participate and support in different projects related of savings, design, marketing, sourcing, etc.

  • Supervise and coordinate the purchasing for MRO and indirect materials thru plant 3005 (Bussmann).

  • Follow up with Financial team (FSS) and ensuring the payment for direct and indirect suppliers, validate and sent the changes needed.

  • Own Supply Chain function for the assigned area.

  • Create training material and document procedures as well as develop, implement & maintain appropriate processes to ensure a productive planning process and well-considered and implementable strategic plans that comply with new/existing business processes.

  • Act as the ‘Voice of the Customer’ in order to assist in the resolution of Customer inquiries requests. Serve as the overall technical resource for Scheduling and capacity related issues and problem solution alternatives.

  • Use a combination of performance management, functional leadership, and recruiting for critical skills to create a highly capable workforce with opportunities for achievement and advancement.

  • Help Develop & Implement a shared Supply Chain vision to achieve the Materials planning and procurement objectives.

  • Ensure that production activities are scheduled in a manner, which will make efficient operations possible, and at the same time, assure the fulfillment of customer delivery requirements.

  • Responsible for engaging the production plan of the various materials, parts, and subassemblies required by the plant. Drives for resolution of material shortages.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in calculation and implementation of pull replenishment systems (Kanban, Reorder point, Min-Max).

  • Power user level of ERP systems – SAP Desired.
  • APICS CPIM training – required.
  • APICS CPIM Certification - desired.
  • SQDCI – High Five Metrics monitoring and reporting.

  • Experience in a complex manufacturing environment (managing up to 7,000 SKU’s).

  • Advanced analytical and cognitive skills.
  • Ability to lead negotiations with Suppliers, and Internal - External Customers.

  • Ability to lead and mentor cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to manage people.
  • Knowledge of Supplier Quality problem solving tool set.

  • Address root cause problem solving.
  • Strong leadership, process focus, and interpersonal skills.

  • Comfortable managing high levels of pressure while delivering results.

  • Ability to communicate clearly in English.
  • Expert in MS Excel.
  • Knowledge in CTPAT certification.
  • Knowledge in Quality Management Systems.
  • Industrial safety and environmental regulations and practices.

  • Knowledge in ISO-9001:2008 (Quality Auditor, CTQ’s, Control Plan).
