  • Lead IS Engineering group which will cut across all of the domains

    • Vehicle

    • Aerospace

    • Hydraulics

    • M&SCoE.

  • Manage an organization of ~ 1000 employees

  • Work with IS – SVP (Technology) to formulate & execute MGPP and MGTP in sync with growth goals of IS

  • Partner with CRT &  ES CoE to develop intelligent solutions and competitive product for IS growth

  • Collaborate with regional business and corporate marketing to gain customer insights

  • Enable synergies for  growth: Use of common CoE platforms in product development to improve Time to Market, Enhance effectiveness for IS and deployment for Electrical sector of Digital Twins strategy

  • Ensure NPI efficacy and Zero analysis escapement in technical decision making
    • Work with sector CoE directors to enhance infrastructure efficiency – HW, SW and test lab

  • Work on Technology maturity and commercialization : Additive manufacturing, High speed pumps, Motor controls. Cost out : Work with marketing to identify opportunities of re-engineering for cost improvement. Aftermarket : Tap opportunities from field quality and failures.

  • Increase collaboration with APAC marketing/manufacturing teams to identify innovation opportunities & accelerate commercialization

  • Enhance capability in Industrial applications; Grow OEM business

  • Advance digital twins capabilities through DP synergy efforts across sectors to enable ‘Analysis First’

  • NPI efficacy and predictable execution on programs – Design cycle time reduction, Analysis first approach

  • Development of DP capability by leveraging synergy across divisions

  • Maintain close liaison with global organization during the development and verification phase of NPD programs to ensure smooth execution, new product introductions, conformance to product specifications, and year over year process improvements

  • Support/Drive overall strategy for new products, technologies, systems, processes and capabilities to deliver quality products & services on-time in line with the business objectives

  • Oversee the group activities either directly or through subordinates including engineering processes viz. PROLaunch, New business bids & proposals, Eaton corporate process (APEX, EBE,etc), and applicable governmental processes (ITAR), and patent-related activities

  • Foster CI culture by leveraging best practices and developing next practices across different business divisions Examples - VA (VG), Quote and App. Eng. (Hyd), Requirement Management (Aero)

  • Digitalization of database and dashboards – Implementation of EPIC / EHM, centralized database for VA, PowerBI dashboards for operational metrics monitoring

  • Drive IS cost out strategy through rationalization and product design;  Enable should-cost and resourcing strategy


Qualifications

The minimum education for this position is a Masters in Mechanical / Electrical / Aerospace Engineering, with experience in leading an interdisciplinary program and/or team

 

Minimum 18 years of industrial experience in a multinational engineering organization with experience in organizational leadership role.
