Production Manager ESS

Job Description

Formulating medium-term planning for the assigned focus area, within set frameworks of the co-formulated strategic policy, and after approval, realization so that it becomes a contribution delivered to the business result. The Production ESS comprises the production, assembly and inspection of low and medium voltage systems. On the one hand, assembly work of the different systems is carried out within the different lines, and on the other hand, each assembly line also includes a part of machining work, welding work and / or casting resin work. This concerns both standard products and (partly) custom work (repair, overhaul, new or outdated systems). All systems that roll off the different assembly lines are tested and tested in accordance with applicable procedures and guidelines.


  • P / L responsible for the assigned focus area

  • Optimal deployment of people, materials and resources

  • Continuous improvement and optimization of processes

  • Ensuring a good state of maintenance of available production (tools) resources

  • Timely and correct reports in accordance with applicable guidelines and procedures

  • Monitoring and enforcement of procedures, business rules, guidelines, (national and international) laws and regulations, norms and standards, safety, quality and environmental regulations insofar as it applies to the position.

  • Evaluates workers regularly, controls their performances & strengthen the front-line-leader layer

  • Oversees technical, technological, and organizational aspects of operations, monitors and evaluates productivity and performance; solves problems operatively in collaboration with the relevant support divisions

  • Monitors analytically the trend of KPI fulfilment; defines remedial measures; helps evaluate customer claims/grievances, identifies the causes, sets out remedial measures in collaboration with the quality and engineering division

  • Prepare financial impact analysis for subcontracting process; lead outsourcing projects

  • Creates the culture of responsibility for environmental protection, health protection and work safety, and controls adherence to HES internal rules


  • Min 5 yes of production planning experience
  • Qualification in Operations Management or Electrical Engineering.
  • Min 5 years of team management experience
  • Ability to make correct decisions, problem solving, problem escalation solving, argumentation/negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of the techniques of effective management, organization of work, process optimizing
  • Experience in LEAN/KAIZEN/SixSigma
  • Communication, presentation and strong team building skills
  • Practice in automotive industry preferred, ideally in JIT/JIS production
