Project Engineering – Eaton lighting Systems

Working as part of the Project Management team your role will include:

Project Management/Engineering
  • Oversight of larger projects – a project caseload will be assigned by the PM.

  • Attend pre commissioning site visits to advise contractors on install.

  • Attend sales meetings at tender stage with consultants and lighting designers to help plan systems.

  • Check wiring schedules and drawings are adequate for commissioning to commence.

  • Prepare RAMS and other site documentation.

  • Work with projects coordinator to plan engineering resources for larger projects.

  • Improve information flow within engineering team.

  • System design to meet client requirements with Sales.

  • Plan delivery schedule with Customer Service / Operations and liaise with the client.

  • Managing within the budget costs for the project both in materials and labour.

  • Reporting for variable expense, material and labour costs.

  • Variations – generate quotes as required.

  • Management and co-ordination of specials and R&D project specific requirements.

  • Ensure close contact with the Lighting Designer / Consultant to ensure they are supported throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Supply all documentation for engineers and client including;

    • Pre-commissioning check list.
    • RAMs.
    • Electrical Schematics where required.

    • Check wiring schedules and drawings and description of operation are adequate for commissioning to commence.

    • Completion certificates.
    • O&M manuals.
  • Monthly project update with engineering manager.


Qualifications

Other aspects of the role:
 
  • Support commissioning of systems, final documentation and client handover.

  • Develop a good understanding of basic commissioning procedures and tasks.

  • Build on an existing knowledge of control types, application and specific engineering applications.

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding and practical working knowledge of the iCANsoft software suite including enterprise suite and head end applications.

  • Sales support / technical meetings in advance of order with Sales.
