GTM Analyst

Job Description

Eaton’s Hydraulic division is currently seeking a GTM Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our Querétaro facilities.

The GTM –  Sr. Analyst is responsible for providing direct support to the GTM – Supervisor, to ensure temporary inventory and import/export activity meet with all Mexican Customs regulations for the site, including material, information and technology. There are roughly 223 customs requirements per business (Site and Distribution Center), that this position supports to ensure to maintain the current certifications and government programs such as IMMEX, PROSEC, OEA programs, and VAT certification for both legal entities related. This position is also responsible for maintaining and updating compliance documents to reflect current regulatory requirements and procedures. The GTM Sr. Analyst is responsible for engagement delivery, customs compliance and quality, productivity and report management and exception management, as well as reporting metrics or KPIs of their operation in charge.

 
This position reports to the GTM – Supervisor
 

Competences: This position must be able to meet GTM goals, objectives and initiatives in a timely manner, be proactive in proposing action plans to the businesses and detecting potential customs issues before the authority detects them, thus reducing the impact on the businesses. This position must can get results. Accomplish the expectation of the internal and external customers and quality and timely decision making.

 

Some activities related with the position will be:

a. Responsible for the temporary inventory management of the site and annex 24 management for businesses in charge.

 

b. Ensure the data integrity of Trade Compliance processes.

 

c. Inventory Reconciliation between Annex 24 and ERP (MFG PRO), including: cycle counts, receiving discrepancies, Inventory adjustments, company losses, Perpetual Inventories, company Sales.

 

d. Collaborate keeping the legal entity in compliance to warranty the certifications and programs accredited like IMMEX, OEA, CT-PAT, PROSEC, etc.

 

e. Support for ensuring the full compliance staying up to date with New Customs Regulations.

 

f. Monitor the import/export of raw materials, finished goods, equipment, scrap, non-productive material, excess and obsolete (E&O) operation monthly.

 

g. Oversee inventory reconciliation of Fixed Assets vs Import Records (Open Balance).

 

h. Provide accurate information to VAT team related to the VAT certification

 

i. Oversee Mexican sites in charge, being in compliance with reporting management, including among others like Annual IMMEX report, INEGI report, Sub-manufacturer report, etc.

Manages and directs site in achieving EHS targets & objectives.  Directs development, maintenance, and achievement of goals in support of corporate and business group EHS strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Trade Compliance and/or Customs Law.

  • 2-3 years of experience in the mentioned field.

  • Intermediate English level

  • Proficient Microsoft Office (Excel audit formulas)

  • In-depth knowledge of annex 24 system

  • Auditing Skills

  • Balance Account Reconciliation

  • Knowledge of ERP transactions

  • Ability to Implement Customs Software

  • Develop efficient interfaces between ERP and Annex 24

  • Reconstruction of import/export operations

  • Strategic planning to ensure Customs Compliance

  • Negotiation skills
  • Strong communication skills with internal and external customers.

  • Knowledge of all FTA that currently exist in Mexico

  • Root cause analysis
