Eaton’s Hydraulic division is currently seeking a Sr, Quality Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Queretaro Facility

The Sr, Quality Engineer is responsible for monitoring and controlling the quality process at the assigned area and developing and driving actions plans for improvements. Leading quality investigations in respond to customers concerns. Support Continuous improvement activities to ensure consistent product flow within established industry standards, government regulations and customer requirements.

Some activities related with the position will be:
  1. Liaison between plant quality department and customer quality department.

  2. Develops and leads action plans to prevent and resolve customer and quality issues.

  3. Lead Customer response through PPAP 8Ds, control Plans, Return Material Authorization (RMA)

  4. Performs Quality Process and Quality System Audits on cell in charge and upload the appropriate reports to the Quality system site as required.

  5. Leads capability studies to process validation (tools/fixtures). Statistical studies such as GR&R, CPK, SPC and provides input to process validation.

  6. Leads Problem solving activities using tools  such as 8Ds, DOE (Design Of Experiments), 5Why’s, etc.

  7. Leads actions towards resolution on Warranty Failures related with the manufacturing process.

  8. Supports to new Product Introduction with Advanced Planning Quality Process and other related activities..

  9. Oversees all activities are met under ISO 9001 and  ISO 14001  requirements.

  10. Supports and/or participate on Continuous Improvement Activities such as: Kaizen, Ideas Programs, cost out  improvements in goals year over year in our processes or practices aligned to achieve or business goals and/objectives to achieve or business

  11. Responsible of non-conforming product, identification, disposition and action plans to avoid reoccurrence.

  12. Monitors and creates / Lead to meet action plan to quality indicators.

  13. Promote Quality culture and trains operators, quality technicians, etc. as needed.

  14. Provides leadership and support to Quality Technicians and Quality Auditor

  15. Ensures 5S culture, implementing and evaluating in all processes.

  16. Elaborates and communicate all organization levels process performances on charts: Defects, scrap, Quarantine , action plans, etc.

  17. Participates into the definition, validation and closure of corrective actions from customer quality concerns, deviations and  engineering changes.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering

  • 3 years of experience in Process Quality and Customer Contact.

  • Experience in manufacturing processes.

  • Bilingual: English/Spanish

  • Knowledgeable on problem solving methodologies and Quality Core Tools

  • Knowledge of Statistical Minitab software.

  • ISO 9001 Quality Standards, implemented or audited, participation on process documented

  • Experience with the practical application of Quality tools, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing methodologies

  • Experience using proven tools, techniques, and methodologies to inspect products, measure process performance, perform product verification and validation testing
