Lead Assembly 2nd shift

Job Description

Eaton’s Electrical Sector is currently seeking a Lead Assembly on 2nd Shift to join our team, pay starting at $18.45/hour depending on experience. This position is based at our Waukesha, WI facility. Note: this is located at the East Lincoln Avenue facility.

In this function you will:

 
  • Position and shape leads for proper clearances within tank.

  • Mig weld laminated leads to bus bar.

  • Braze, weld, or crimp secondary leads to coil.

  • Assemble and hook up dual voltage switches, tap changers singularly or in gangs and other accessories required.  Must take into consideration the positioning, clearances, etc., required for tanking.

  • Fit, and cut wood braces for secondary and primary leads, including layout, and bolt onto core and coil frame.

  • Measure and cut leads to proper lengths.  Measures, cuts, strips, insulates and crimps terminals on other required leads.

  • Minor coil repair, as needed caused by handling, etc.

  • Read Blueprints & Schematics.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Waukesha, WI will be considered.  Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualification:

 
  • Previous electrical experience or education in AC/DC
