Eaton’s Lighting Division has an opening for a Data Governance Manager. The position will be based in our Peachtree City, GA or Atlanta, GA facility.
The Data Governance Manager, a member of the Master Data Management team, manages the definition and execution of product data governance standards and processes. The purpose of this position is to develop and implement a data quality framework to derive the financial benefits of quality data while mitigating the business risks of poor data. The Data Governance Manager continuously monitors adherence to processes and performance within the framework. Using a variety of tools and critical thinking and problem-solving skills, the Data Governance Manger identifies opportunities for improvement, with the goal of improving the integrity of the data and the internal and external perceptions of data quality.

Champion data quality across the organization, communicating business value and benefits
Engage stakeholders to define scope of data governance across the organization
Lead definition of data quality standards within that scope across multiple data repositories
Document existing processes and deploy improvements to achieve data quality standards focusing on process automation and sustainability
Functionally manage resources responsible for maintaining data in ERP system and other data repositories
Monitor data quality and manage resolution when standards aren’t met, including identifying root cause and developing action plans to address issues
Regularly communicate data quality performance up and across the organization
Continuously evaluate tools and processes to identify opportunities for improvement related to process consistency and efficiency and data completeness and accuracy

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
Minimum 3 years of data management experience
Minimum 1 year of data governance experience
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates within a 50 miles radius of Peachtree City or Atlanta will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
4+ years data governance experience
SAP material master management/maintenance experience
Project management experience
Strong understanding of data normalization and rationalization concepts and techniques
Basic knowledge of SAP
Basic knowledge of project management concepts and techniques
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suites, particularly Microsoft Excel
Ability to express ideas and thoughts effectively, verbally, and in written form across all levels of the organization
Ability to establish collaborative relationships to achieve objectives
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Proven desire to actively contribute to the team’s success

Eaton has announced it has reached an agreement to sell its Lighting Business to Signify N.V.
