Order Coordinator

Job Description

Eaton’s Electrical sector is currently seeking an Order Coordinator to join our team. This position is based at our Raleigh, NC location. 


Position Overview:

The primary function of the Order Coordinator is to provide Eaton Corporation’s customers with product, delivery, claims/returns, and information.  This includes managing customer orders, order entry, processing change orders, and tracking orders through to delivery.  Successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining accurate order information, validating price, entering and maintaining information in various systems, and managing strategic, large or complex accounts with an emphasis on world class customer service.

In this function you will:
  • Enter new customer orders, with emphasis on error-free order management. 

  • Enter changes and cancellations using established business rules.

  • Proactively communicate in a timely manner with external customers about order verification, order status, pricing, and shipment status.

  • Communicate in a timely manner with operations to verify lead times, schedule customer orders according to their delivery needs and communicate special handling requests.

  • Maintain accurate and organized order files, order acknowledgements, and customer contact information.

  • Coordinate shipments and communications on critical items per orders. 

  • Be responsible for engineering functional objectives and initiatives in support of our strategic plan.

  • Process customer invoicing requests.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • BA/BS Degree from an accredited Institution or an Associate’s Degree with a minimum of 3 years’ experience of the functions noted above

  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience managing orders and interfacing with customers (internal and/or external) and experience in an organization fulfilling contract requirements

  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Raleigh, NC will be considered.  Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Proficiency in systems software, such as Vista, Oracle, SAP, QlikView, COGNOS, Microsoft Office and various other programs.

  • Experience working with government contracts.

  • Strong computer skills, including well versed in MS Office Suite of tools
