Eaton’s Vehicle sector is currently seeking an Assembler II to join our team. This position is based at our Tualatin, OR location.

Position Overview:

The Senior Assembler will be responsible for providing assembly support within Tualatin OR location.  Including but not limited to the final assembly, inspection and testing of various product lines, PCB sub-assemblies, soldering (THM) through the use of specialized hand and air tools, specific work instructions.  With the main objective to provide a finished product on time and in adherence to Eaton’s quality standards.

In this function you will:
  • Able to work independently to standard operating procedures / work instructions, bill of materials, product specific information, and instruction from Management or Engineering to complete assembly or sub-assemblies.

  • Responsible for visual inspections of material before and after assembly.

  • Use various fixtures, gauges, and assembly tools to assemble, adjust, or repair product

  • Responsible for mechanical/electrical performance of completed assemblies and assist in making necessary adjustments to meet performance/quality goals.

  • Evaluates assembly problems, recommends corrective actions

  • Reports irregularities or equipment malfunctions

  • Adheres to all environmental, health, safety rules and regulations, and work instructions

  • Maintain equipment and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5S and continuous improvement.

  • Fosters an environment that promotes Eaton’s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement through participation and teamwork.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • HS diploma or GED from an accredited institution

  • 1-3 years manufacturing experience required

  • Must be authorized to work in the US without Company sponsorship

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 40lbs with reasonable accommodation. Incumbent must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position.

  • IPC Certified or the ability to acquire IPC certification

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Tualatin OR will be considered.  Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Office, Outlook/Email.
  • Previous electronics manufacturing/assembly experience a plus
