Eaton’s Power Quality Division has an opening for a Senior Validation Test Engineer in the beautiful Raleigh, North Carolina. Relocation assistance is provided.

In the first 30 days you will:

  • Work with talented engineers who will work closely with you to validate new designs.

  • Develop, code, test design issues and contribute to delivering design improvements to reach the goal of launching new features and new products into our growing IT, IOT and Edge markets.

Within the first 60 days you will:

  • Be more knowledgeable, experienced, and ready to contribute more - you will be well known to the team and will be assigned more interesting and important tasks to provide more opportunities for you to grow.

  • Be asked to provide the team your feedback to improve the group in design, products, process, and tools.

  • We are constantly investigating technology trends like artificial intelligence that could improve our products and process, and you will be provided the opportunity to contribute to the team in this area as well.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering/Computer Science from an accredited educational institution

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with testing, troubleshooting, validating electrical systems

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of single-phase power systems and power distribution

  • Experience in design of test automation systems

  • Experience leading a cross-functional, world-wide development

  • Test programing and system code development

Position Criteria:
  • Develop test plans to validate to product specifications, regulatory and customer requirements.

  • Coordinate and collaborate with resources to execute the project test plans

  • Drive continuous improvement through development and implementation of best practices and processes

  • Support product engineering through failure analysis support of field issues.

  • Gain knowledge and experience in the design and application of power supply topologies

  • Gain knowledge and experience of C, C#, and test automation systems

  • Support product launches which may include international travel opportunities

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams within and outside of the US

  • Gain hands-on testing, debugging and documentation experience
