The Primary responsibility will be part of a team working on entire spectrum of metallic materials that cut across materials selection, characterization, process optimization, multiscale modeling of materials, manufacturing process evaluation and scale up etc.

  • Will be a part of a team responsible for new materials development / introduction for Eaton’s product portfolio including new material & process assimilation & development.

  •  As a subject matter expert, s/he is responsible for the execution of milestones that are critical to the project. The technical lead coordinates activities with other engineering resources on the team to ensure timely completion of the project milestones.  

  • Leads technology realization programs / projects utilizing our internal project execution processes, including Gate Reviews, Design Reviews, and Technical Reviews.

  • As a technical lead, he/she will be single point of contact for the entire project responsible for creating and executing technology realization plan and tracking all the milestones for timely completion of the entire project.

  • Provides scientific explanation of underlying mechanism from experimental results through proper data analysis

  • Collaborates with globally diverse cross-functional project teams effectively and manages selected projects as per our internal stage-gate process.

  • Participates and presents in internal innovation and ideation events.

  • Identifies open innovation opportunities with universities and external institutes that align with relevant technological areas.

  • Actively contributes high quality IP that has business and technology importance.



  • PhD in Metallurgical engineering with 3+ years of Industrial experience 
  • Physical metallurgy, Mechanical metallurgy, Structure-Property correlations, advanced characterization including EBSD, WDS, XRD, Metallurgical manufacturing processes
  • Good oral & written communication skills.
  • Self motivated; Passionate to bring own ideas to applications.
  • High drive for results - to make plan and meet timelines.
  • Good interpersonal skills - flexibility to adapt to persons with different geographical, ethnic, educational backgrounds.
  • Proven track record on innovation.
