The primary function of Senior Market Research Analyst is to maintain the market intelligence processes to produce systematic data mining, useful analysis, and consistent standard reporting to measure the performance of Hydraulics Operations against markets, customers, and competitors. Collect data and conduct studies to determine growth opportunities, positioning in markets, and strategic issues.
This exciting role offers opportunity to:
Meet the strategic market information needs of the hydraulics organization on a prioritized basis.
Distribute market intelligence information to key constituencies.
Provide input into monthly sales & marketing hydraulic summary reports for presentation at operational reviews.
Gather and analyze external and internal data to produce market conditions report.
Apply specific tactical information discovery, including answers to questions about specific costs, technology, and product info.
Provide complete and timely research to key MI users utilizing the research request process.
Review and interpret financial performance of Hydraulics Operations and report summary findings by customer, channel, and/or product division.
Analyze markets, customers and competitors to recognize opportunities, potential risks, and areas requiring improvement.
Conduct studies to determine sales trends, market share, and operating profit with the intention to identify opportunities to grow sales, strengthen market share, and increase profitability.
Assist in the development of the strategic plan by furnishing required market intelligence data and analysis.
MBA / higher degree with three to six years of experience in Market Research/ Market Intelligence.
Thorough understanding of mobile/industrial hydraulics products, customers, markets and competitors.
Primary and secondary research experience
Good understanding of global macro-economic factors which impacts the business
Experience with market trends, customer expectations and economic analysis as provided by internal and external data sources
Experience in predictive analysis
Knowledgeable in MS Office, specifically PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Must interface with Sales, Marketing, IT and Accounting functions.
