Associate Product Engineer
Eaton Lakeside, Redditch are currently looking for an Associate Product Engineer within fluid and electrical distributions. You will support lower complexity Current Product or Product Development projects or Engineering Services programs.
You will work individually or as part of a team to perform specific assigned tasks. You will be working with other engineering and cross-functional disciplines to resolve issues.
Your key deliverables:
- Perform basic engineering investigations and tasks as assigned
Collaborate with experienced engineers to provide follow-up and engineering assistance on defined problems
Assist in preparing reports, graphs, planning layouts, and summaries designed to communicate project progress or results
Participate as a team member, help define/refine methods and actively contribute towards team goals
Follow technical documentation requirements and engineering processes
Equipped with the knowledge of mechanical engineering design fundamentals such as failure theories, design of standard mechanical components
Capable of carrying out basic classical (handbook) calculations for component sizing and selection
Possessing a basic knowledge of fits and tolerances, materials and machining process to achieve intended form, fits and finishes for desired functions
Aware of GD&T fundamentals (Geometric symbols and dimensioning)
Able to create (using 3D CAD tools) surface models, format creation, set modelling and drafting standards, flow model/surface extraction and you are proficient in various modules such as solid modeling, sheet metal, tubing/piping.
