Job Description

Eaton’s Lighting Division is currently seeking a Visual Merchandising Program Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Peachtree City, GA location. 


Position Overview:

The Visual Merchandising Program Manager will work closely with channel marketing, marketing communications and the sales teams to program manage, coordinate and implement the tasks associated with identified merchandising programs.

In this function you will:
  • Lead, develop and program manage the visual in-store product placement display program. Collaborate with product management, marketing communications and vendors to execute new and existing initiatives. Merchandising displays include permanent, corrugate point of purchase, semi-permanent racks, counter and wall displays, product demonstration kits and ceiling clouds.

  • Initiate, budget, organize and schedule all tasks to include conception, development, production, scheduling and installation of all merchandising including the collaboration with vendors partners and field selling teams. Transition new stores to the post installation phase for long-term sustainability and upgrades.
  • Standardize quote/bid and development process to include scope of work, engineering drawings, prototype development, visual graphics, production build, product selection, wiring, packaging, shipment, tracking and store installation.
  • Analyze the sales effectiveness of products displays and make recommendations for product transitions and display upgrades.
  • Collaborate with visual/marketing communication and digital teams to develop and execute merchandisers, graphics, messaging and e-selling tools. Manage the partner electronic database to support the program.

  • Develop training modules to support in-store merchandising. Arrange field training events for effective on-boarding. Assemble and syndicate quarterly planograms and product training modules with product and commercialization managers.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or business from an accredited institution.

  • 3 years of marketing program/project management experience and merchandising experience in hard goods, industrial, electric or hand tools, mass merchants or lighting industry products.

  • Must be EXTREMELY detail oriented and the ability to develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

  • Passionate for complete customer focus, a strong sense of customer service orientation and the ability to drive and exceed customer expectations.

  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Peachtree City will be considered.  Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.


Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in the lighting industry preferred.

  • Has demonstrated to be able to coordinate national roll outs of merchandising to thousands of stores.

  • Competency in LED lighting, voice enabled products, new product launch and analytical sales effectiveness.

  • Graduate degree (e.g.: MBA, Marketing, Business)

 
Position Criteria:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of marketing and all elements of the marketing mix.

  • Strong work ethic, flexibility, and a desire to actively contribute to the group’s success.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Intermediate to expert user of Microsoft suite include Excel, Access, PowerPoint.

 
 

Eaton has announced its intent to spin off its Lighting Business into publicly traded company (“SpinCo”).  This transaction is expected to be completed by the end of 2019 and this position is expected to remain with SpinCo.   The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton’s plans, programs and practices.  The Lighting Business is in the process of developing its total rewards philosophy, strategy and structure, including the design of its benefits and annual and long-term incentive plans that will take effect when SpinCo becomes a publicly traded company. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Lighting Business when SpinCo becomes an independent, publicly traded company, you will be eligible to participate in SpinCo’s compensation, health, welfare, and retirement benefit plans and programs and should have no expectations that SpinCo’s plans and programs will mirror or be substantially similar to Eaton’s.
